- Here at Burford Pre-school our aim is to provide our children with an enriched and varied environment which supports their learning and development as well as encouraging their confidence to explore in a secure and safe, indoor and outdoor environment.
- Our activities are mostly child initiated to encourage our children to develop curiosity and to learn through play. We aim to create a foundation of learning for preschool children by providing a caring and secure environment for all physical and educational needs.
- Children can learn and develop through contrasting combinations of structured and free play with engaging activities.
- We also aim to provide the highest quality relationships, experiences and environment for our children which enables them to leave us capable, independent, resilient and confident, ready for their next journey ahead.
- Our team are friendly and approachable, and we offer a high standard of education while being aware of all our children’s needs treating each child as an individual.

At Burford Pre-School we have a fantastic team of staff who bring a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience.
Our staff endeavor to keep up to date with all relevant training which in turn furthers our knowledge, helping us to best educators we can be for our children.
Our setting uses a key person approach. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible.
Your child’s key person will be the person who works with you to make sure that what we provide is right for your child’s particular needs and interests.
When your child first starts at the setting, she/he will help your child to settle and throughout your child’s time at the setting.
They will help your child to benefit from the setting’s activities.
Having a key person is valuable but we also make sure we build strong relationships with all of the children, to ensure our children feel happy and confident to approach and engage with all of the adults.
